Is it not nice to know, dear friend,
When you kneel down, eyes closed,
Look up to God in prayer to heaven
He who controls the planets in their motion,
He who lights and blows out stars in the sky
Assists the lamb in its first stumbling steps
Paints the wings of each butterfly
Soothes the tumbling waves of the ocean
Holding the very reins of time,
That he would spare a fleeting moment,
To look towards a sinner calling,
That the Lord of man, the God of all,
Cares to calm your trembling soul,
Speak and lift you by the hand,
Guide you through the labyrinth of life.
A life is indeed one worth living,
When the Almighty One, on heavens throne
Deigns to think of you, and in doing so,
Spreads a smile across his kindly face
