Our family is celebrating 16 years of God’s faithfulness in Bihar. On October 23 we have finished 16 years in Bihar. Still we remember our first day in Bihar. We have reached by a train which was running 14 hours behind the schedule and we came to a place which was at least 40 years behind. At that time I was working in a King’s palace but God helped me to develop an instant love for this place and on the first day we have decided to stay here as a family; my return flight ticket back to my work I did not use; we went through the mud and back breaking roads; we got a small team to work with; a group of 10 evangelists and a group of 10 believers; yes; not more than that; but God gave us some promises and we worked in Bihar focusing on the work here; we did spend less time on media and internet promotions and foreign trips and spend more time in the fields…..
We had our last workers conference from 19 to 23 October 2015. There were 1495 registered participants; yes God increased the work; when we came to Bihar out of the above number majority were not knowing who Christ is; but the Holy Spirit worked in their hearts to such a level that they got ready to spend for their travel and to pay a registration fee and to come to the workers convention. On the third day of the meeting one elderly man who became a believer 3 years back and who was a Hindu priest came to me and said, God told me to give enough money to meet the needs of one day of the conference; I have told him it will be around 1.5 lakh rupees and he got ready to give that; and then others also gave; all Biharis; and this time we got around 4.5 lakh rupees from our Bihari workers and Churches for the expense of the conference; is it not amazing!!
Thank you so much for your prayers and for standing with us. We have miles to go before we sleep. From the conference venue we went straight to Varanasi and visited 16 workers in two days; and baptized 36 new believers of 2 Churches; in one Church they were waiting for us from 10.00 in the morning to 6.00 in the evening so that we could be part of the baptism service. So many people are coming to the Lord; still there is a great gap; but if we are willing, in our generation India will be evangelized. Let us work together for an end time harvest; Let our Nation India get an opportunity to know Christ, every tribe, every village. Please continue praying for our family and also for our fellow workers in Bihar. Please do plan to visit the mission fields. May God bless you.
